Jdabya CID arrests a person who stole 100 thousand dinars.

Jdabya, April 10, 2024 (LANA) - The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Major General Al-Mu’taz Billah Al-Saiti, announced that members of the office were able this Wednesday morning, coinciding with the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, to arrest a Sudanese national who had stolen a sum of money from a Libyan national amounting to 100 thousand dinars.
Al-Saiti said that the office received a report at exactly three in the morning today from a citizen reporting that a sum of money had been stolen from his store, indicating that the report was initially against an unidentified thief who stole the money from a large building materials store in the city of Jdabya.
He pointed out, that the initial investigations pointed the finger of blame at a Sudanese person named (Al-Tayeb), confirming his arrest, and by reasoning with him, he confessed and returned the money before disposing or fleeing with it, indicating that the case was closed within two hours, and the accused was referred to the Public Prosecution.
