Al-Dabaiba follows up on preparations for the Hajj season for the current year.

Tripoli, April 29, 2024 (LANA) - Yesterday, Sunday, the Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, held a meeting with the President and members of the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs and its Executive Director, to follow up on the Authority’s preparations to implement the Hajj season for the current year.

  According to the media office of the Prime Minister, Ali Hamouda, the head of the authority, presented a position regarding the logistical measures taken by the authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including choosing appropriate hotels, routes, and other measures that contribute to providing good conditions for pilgrims.

Al-Dabaiba stressed the need to complete the procedures for the pilgrims selected from the people of Derna according to clear criteria, and to establish a mechanism to begin the lottery procedures for next year, after the authority completed the procedures for the pilgrims who were chosen during the lottery in past years and did not perform the religious obligation due to the Corona crisis.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of providing good conditions for Libyan pilgrims, and selecting supervisory and management personnel qualified to serve them.
