Al-Kony assures British Ambassador of the Presidency Council’s keenness to hold parliamentary and presidential elections.

 Tripoli, 19 June 2022 (Lana) Vice President of Presidential Council Musa Al Kony met Sunday United Kingdom Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurendall to discuss the latest political developments in Libya and issues of common concern.

  Al-Kony assured the British Ambassador of the Council's keenness to hold parliamentary and presidential elections, and support efforts to reach consensual constitutional frameworks in order to achieve the Libyan people's desire for stability through elections.

For her part, the British Ambassador reiterated her government's continued support for the Presidential Council, which seeks to successfully stabilize the country, push national reconciliation, and to hold elections on a consensual constitutional basis that satisfies all parties. =Lana=
