Minister of Finance and his Congolese counterpart agree on an appropriate mechanism to pay the remaining installments of the debts owed to the State of Libya.

  Tripoli, April 20, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity, Khaled Al-Mabrok, agreed with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville to adopt an appropriate mechanism to pay the remaining installments of debts for the benefit of the State of Libya.

This came during the meeting that took place between them on the sidelines of the 2024 Spring Meetings of the Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC, according to what was published by the Media Office of the Ministry of Finance on its official Facebook page.

During the meeting, Al-Mabrok stressed the need for the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville to commit to paying the due installments of the loan on time, after addressing the reasons for the delay in paying the last three due installments that were not fulfilled.
