During his meeting with the Italian Ambassador, Ageela calls on Italian companies to return to Libya.

Al-Qubba April 22, 2024 (Lana): Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, called on the Italian companies to return to work in Libya to contribute to reconstruction and development projects.

This came during his meeting yesterday in Al-Qubba with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, and the Italian Consul in Benghazi, Francesco De Luigi, to discuss the latest developments in the situation in Libya and ways to end the current crisis, according to a statement by the spokesman of the HoR, Abdullah Beliheq.

Ageela reiterated that the solution in Libya is through holding presidential and parliamentary elections and forming a unified government that will achieve electoral entitlement in a way that meets the aspirations of the Libyan people.

He stressed the need to implement the “Amsaad-Ras Jadir” road project as it was contracted for and according to what was previously planned, in addition to reopening direct flight lines between Benghazi and Italian airports and maritime navigation lines in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples and facilitating procedures for granting visas to Libyan citizens in general, especially Libyan patients and students in Italy.
