Signing an agreement on establishing a consultation mechanism for joint groundwater management between Libya, Algeria and Tunisia.

Tripoli, April 25, 2024 - Libya, Algeria, and Tunisia signed, yesterday, Wednesday, in the Algerian capital, an agreement on establishing a consultation mechanism for managing the shared groundwater between the three countries, in the northern Sahara.

The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Mohamed Guenidi, and the Algerian Minister of Irrigation, Taha Darbal, and the Tunisian Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fishing, Abdel Moneim Belaati.
