President of the Presidential Council attends launch of the west coast municipal forum held in the municipality of Sorman under the slogan "United for the future."

  Sorman, 26 January 2022 (Lana) President of the Presidential Council Mohammed Al Mnefi attended the launch of the West Coast Municipal Forum held at the cultural center in the municipality of Sorman under the slogan ‘United for the Future.’

  In a speech at the forum, also attended by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Fawzi Al-Nueiri, the mayors of the west coast municipalities and representatives of the military establishment, social leaders and civil society institutions, stressed need for national reconciliation to prevail throughout the country and be a comprehensive political and security reconciliation together with a complete rejection of political differences and the establishment of a state through the conduct of free and fair elections and acceptance of their results.

He called for separation between the executive and legislative powers, considering that their overlap is a cause of confusion in political life and has negatively affected the lives of the citizens, and stressed need to go to elections through which the prestige of the state will be embodied and its sovereignty will be preserved, and borders controlled and secured.

Al Mnefi also called for building trust factors between municipalities, stressing full cooperation of the presidential council with the municipalities and providing success factors for their work.
