    Tripoli, 18 January 2022 (Lana) GNA Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush received at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli yesterday the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccini. The meeting focused on latest developments in Libya, bilateral relations, and a number of issues including cooperation in the file of illegal migration.

Al Mangoush and Buccini discussed an "initiative" put forward by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on the coordination of "Libyan international" to solve the problem of migrants.

The Italian Ambassador reiterated his country's support for the efforts of the Government of National Unity, in order to achieve security and stability, noting that Libya's stability is essential and important for the stability of the Mediterranean region.
