UN Secretary General renews his keenness to support Libyans' choice to get out of current crisis.

   New York, 9 January 2022 (Lana) UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has renewed his keenness to support Libyans' choice to get out of the current crisis and achieve stability and peace in Libya.

Libya's permanent representative to the United Nations, Al Taher Al-Sunni, said in a tweet " I discussed, during a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the latest developments in Libya and the challenges that prevented the elections scheduled for December 24th."

 Al-Sunni noted that the UN secretary-general reiterated his keenness to support the Libyan option, and ensure that transparent and fair elections are held, and the results of which will be accepted when a new roadmap is agreed.
