Tripoli, March 4, 2024 (Lana): The German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, described a visit by Mrs. Jacob, the director of GI in Tunisia, to the Soap House, one of the landmarks of the ancient city of Tripoli, as a wonderful visit.

“She had the opportunity to meet the architect Ms. Razan once again, where Razan participated in a series of workshops with the Goethe-Institute, aiming to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of Libya,” Ohnmacht said in a tweet.

It is noteworthy that the House of Soap is one of the historical landmarks in Tripoli, dating back more than two centuries. It was called the House of Sop as it was used at the beginning of its construction in the ninth century as a local soap factory.
