Egypt is preparing to receive 7,000 foreigners who will be evacuated from Gaza.

Cairo, November 02, 2023 (LANA) - The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Thursday, that the relevant authorities in the country are preparing to receive and evacuate about 7,000 foreign citizens from Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.

    The Ministry said in a statement that Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad, Ismail Khairat, discussed during a meeting yesterday, Wednesday, with foreign diplomats the preparations aimed at facilitating the reception and evacuation of foreign citizens from Gaza through the Rafah crossing.

    Khairat pointed out that the number of foreign citizens scheduled to be evacuated is about 7,000 foreign citizens who hold the nationalities of more than 60 countries.
