  Tripoli, March 29, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida, the Minister of State for the Affairs of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, Adel Jumaa, the head of the Passports Authority, and representatives of the Intelligence Service and the Telecommunications Holding Company discussed yesterday, Thursday, the mechanisms for issuing electronic work visas for foreign workers.

The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation stated that the meeting discussed mechanisms for linking the relevant authorities with regard to the work visa and coordinating between them through the “Wafid” digital platform, which is expected to be launched on the first of next May after completing all procedural and legal steps. The Ministry has also reviewed the executive steps in a comprehensive technical presentation.
