Bathily reiterates the UN’s support for forming a unified government to take Libya forward to elections.

Tripoli, 11 March 2024 (Lana): UN Envoy Abodulaye Bathily reiterated to a joint delegation from the House of Representatives and High Council of State the UN’s position calling for the need to reach a wider agreement to form a unified government that would take Libya forward to transparent and inclusive national elections as soon as possible.
Bathily said in a tweet that the delegation, representing a wider group, met in Tunis at the end of February.
“We discussed the consensus reached at the Tunis meeting, and they shared details of their next steps,” he added.
