Cairo, March 11, 2024 (Lana): The Egyptian Foreign Ministry considered the outcomes of the meeting between the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ageela Saleh, and Head of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, held yesterday at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, as an important step on the track to achieving the legitimate aspirations of the Libyan people in moving toward the future and in a way that preserves Libya’s sovereignty, unity, security, and stability.

It also welcomed, in a statement, the Arab League’s hosting of this meeting, which came within the framework of supporting exclusive Libyan ownership of the political settlement and strengthening the role of Libyan institutions in fulfilling all the necessary frameworks for holding presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.
