Tripoli, March 2, 2024 (Lana): The GNU Minister of Industry and Minerals, Ahmed Abu Heisa, discussed with the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Aydar Aganin, reactivating the work of joint committees and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting, which was held at the ministry’s office in Tripoli, discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in several industrial and mining areas, the strategic importance that Libya has, and the great diversity of mineral resources.

For his part, Aganin confirmed the depth of historical relations between the two countries and his country’s desire to enhance the program of cooperation between the institutions in Libya and Russia in the areas of industrial and geological research as well as technical support in the area of technological industrial poles.

Abu Heisa invited Russian officials, businessmen, and industrialists to visit Libya and work to hold a Libyan-Russian industrial forum in Libya during the coming period. and to arrange for the ambassador to visit some of the institutions affiliated with the Ministry to meet with their officials with the aim of getting to know closely the available possibilities and discussing aspects of joint cooperation between them.
