The Minister of Technical and Vocational Education meets with the Commercial Director of the British Embassy in Tripoli.

Tripoli, February 19, 2024 (LANA) - The Minister of Technical and Technical Education of the Government of National Unity, “Khalaf Al-Sifaw,” discussed in Tripoli today, Monday, with the Commercial Director of the British Embassy in Tripoli, “Charlie Garnett,” and his accompanying delegation, to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in the field of technical education.

During the meeting, which was attended by the directors of departments in the ministry, the minister stressed the depth of the bilateral relations between Libya and Britain, especially in the field of technical education, pointing out that there are always more open horizons between the two sides to enhance this cooperation, especially after the stability of security and safety throughout the state of Libya and the smooth flow of Commercial traffic and the movement of citizens of various nationalities.

Al-Sifaw expressed Libya's aspiration for more cooperation, working to provide it with all success factors to ensure its continuity, strengthening the partnership between Libyan and British technical educational institutions, and the Ministry's interest in benefiting from British expertise in the field of technical education and developing an action plan to expand joint cooperation between Libya. The two countries, in line with the plans and strategy of the National Unity Government, which is based on the principle of partnership as one of the important principles for developing the education system in general in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development in Libya, as well as linking graduates to the labor market, and learning about the latest developments in technical and artistic institutions and centers and their work mechanisms in Britain, stressing the importance that the Ministry attaches to the file of training and qualification for the labor market and linking academic specializations and curricula to the needs of Libyan society.

For his part, Director of the Commercial Department, Charlie Garnett, praised the coordination and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of technical education, pointing out his country’s constant pride in cooperating with Libya and providing support to benefit from the expertise of the British side in the field of technical education, encouraging Libyan students to study in Britain and supporting Training researchers and enhancing scientific cooperation, expressing his happiness with the new generation in Libya and their aspiration for their country to become better, stressing his interest in training and qualifying technical education personnel, in order to develop technical education institutions in Libya.
