Gabriel Attal as New France Prime Minister.

Paris, January 09, 2024  (LANA) - It was announced in the French capital on Tuesday that Gabriel Attal was appointed as a new Prime Minister, succeeding Elisabeth Beauron, whose resignation was accepted by President Macron yesterday, Monday.

The press release issued by the Elysee stated that (the President of the Republic appointed Gabriel Attal as “Prime Minister,” and assigned him to form the government).

  Following the appointment, the President of the Republic told the former Minister of Education (to be able to rely on his energy and commitment to implement the rearmament and renewal project that he announced).

In its first comment on this appointment, the French newspaper Le Monde said in its electronic edition on Tuesday: “At the age of thirty-four, the short-lived Minister of Education, who comes to the left of the presidential majority, will have to try to breathe new life into the second Emmanuel Macron’s term"; which extends for five years.
