Tripoli, November 02, 2023 (LANA) - The Ministry of the Interior of the Government of National Unity participated in the seventh Interpol meeting of police commanders in the Middle East and North Africa region, held at the headquarters of the International Criminal Police Organization “Interpol” in the French city of Lyon during the days of November 2 and 3.

        Ministry sources stated that the meeting discussed a number of issues related to border security, combating terrorism and drug smuggling, in addition to discussing areas in which Interpol’s police initiatives could be investigated.

       Major General Abdel Wahed Abdel Samad, Director of the Office of the Minister of Interior and head of the participating delegation, referred in his speech during the meeting to the plans of the Ministry of Interior in combating crime, stressing the keenness to support the existing cooperation relations with Interpol.
