New York, November 01, 2023 (LANA) - The World Health Organization (WHO), stated that the Gaza tragedy continues before the eyes of the world, warning that urgent humanitarian and relief aid will not be delivered to the Strip quickly.

Tedros Adhanom, Director-General of the organization, said in a blog post he published on 'X' platform, “The number of civilian casualties as a result of the war in Gaza is shocking, and that the amount of aid entering the Strip is meager and cannot meet the growing needs of the population of Gaza.”

Adhanom added, "The entry of aid into the Gaza Strip must begin in a large way, noting that since the start of the war on October 7, until October 21, the organization has been unable to deliver aid to only 370,000 people, while the Gaza Strip's population, whose number exceeds about two million people, live in difficult circumstances and need urgent assistance.

International relief organizations described the situation in the Gaza Strip as "catastrophic", especially with the continued indiscriminate bombing, the most recent of which was yesterday's bombing of the Jabalia camp, which caused the death of 400 Palestinians.
