Egypt refuses the entry of Americans from Gaza unless an agreement includes the entry of aid into the Strip.

Cairo, October 14, 2023 (LANA) - The Egyptian authorities refused to allow the entry of those holding American citizenship to the Rafah crossing, except within the framework of a more comprehensive agreement that alleviates the burden of human suffering in the Gaza Strip as the war enters its eighth day.

  A number of holders of American citizenship, most of whom were Palestinians, had arrived at the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing, waited there, and then turned back, unable to enter the crossing.

Egypt demands the necessity to open the Rafah crossing in order to deliver relief aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which is facing a humanitarian crisis, in light of the occupation preventing the entry of water and food and cutting off electricity.
