Tripoli 7 May 2023 (Lana) The 10th meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers, the 11th of the Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the 14th of the experts of the member states in the North African Region Capacity (NARC), which was held in Algiers from May 2 to May 6, 2023, were concluded yesterday in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General, Mohammad Al-Heddad.

The General Staff stated on its Facebook page that this meeting comes within the framework of the regular meetings organized by the Executive Secretariat of the NARC, which are concerned with enhancing peace, security, and stability, and developing the capacities of the North African forces from military, police, and civilian components.

According to the same source, the meetings discussed the outcome of the activities of this capacity, and the study of ways and mechanisms to develop its components to enhance coordination among member states and confront threats to the security and safety of the North African region, and at the end of the meeting, the recommendations of the expert meeting were adopted.
