Abu-Janah meets with the Italian Health Minister.

Tripoli, May 8, 2024 (Lana) Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and the Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu-Janah, discussed yesterday with the Italian Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, activating concluded agreements between the two countries and benefiting from them in improving the health situation in the country.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the official visit of the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and a number of ministers of her government to Tripoli, the two parts discussed opportunities to expand aspects of future cooperation between both countries in areas of training medical cadres, exchanging experiences, and transferring medical technology.

The two ministers also discussed the twinning agreements previously signed between medical centers in Libya (Sebha Medical Center, Tripoli University Hospital, and Benghazi Medical Center) and specialized medical centers in Italy regarding training, exchanging experiences and knowledge, transferring technology, and mutual visits for doctors from the two countries.

Abu Jannah stressed the importance of partnership with Italy in the health area due to its progress in the medical and service areas.
