Gambia, May 5, 2024 (LANA) - The President of the Republic of The Gambia, Adama Barrow, stressed the importance of working to achieve stability and unity in Libya, so that it can return to its effective and pivotal role on the African continent.
This came during his meeting this Sunday evening with the representative of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, on the sidelines of his participation in the 15th session of the Organization of the Islamic Conference summit in Banjul.
The Gambian President affirmed to Al-Koni his commitment to working to promote greater unity and solidarity among the member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference during his term in office and Gambia’s commitment to the principles of the organization.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Libya and The Gambia in many fields, especially Libyan investments in The Gambia, and working to achieve stability on the African continent, in cooperation with member states of the African Union, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, and the Community of Sahel-Saharan countries
