Tripoli, May 8, 2024 (LANA) - The representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met this afternoon, Wednesday, in the Council’s office, a number of notables and elders of the city of Ghadames, and members of the city’s municipal council.

The Presidential Council's media office reported that during the meeting, notables and elders reviewed the general situation in the city, especially the security situation, in addition to discussing many files related to the provision of basic services in various sectors.

Notables and elders expressed their full support for the efforts of the Representative and the Presidential Council to make the national reconciliation project a success and restore stability to the country.

In turn, Al-Lafi stressed the importance of stability and security organization in the city of Ghadames, as it is one of the most important border cities, and establishing appropriate security arrangements will enhance the preservation of the social fabric and border security in this region.
