An expanded security meeting at Ras Ajdir border crossing between the Libyan and Tunisian sides.

Ras Jadder May 6, 2024 (Lana) An expanded meeting held by the head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Major General Mahmoud Al-Ajili, yesterday with the Tunisian side at Ras Ajdir border crossing was devoted to discussing cooperation about activating work at the crossing after the completion of maintenance and development.

On the Libyan side, the meeting was attended by a number of directors of traffic affairs and passport control departments at Ras Ajdir port, the director of the port, the director of Zuwara Customs Directorate, and the Libyan consul in Sfax.

On the Tunisian side, the meeting was attended by the Director General of the Border and Foreigners Police, Imad Al-Zaghlami, the Director of the Border Crossings in Libya, Hossam bin Hassan, the head of Ras Ajdir Border Police Governorate, Al-Mundhir Muftah, and the Assistant Chief of the Border Police, Abdel Baset Al-Lafi.

The attendees stressed the need to adhere to the necessary procedures in accordance with the laws and legislation in force in the two countries to combat and prevent smuggling of all kinds.

It was agreed during the meeting to open the largest number of corridors to be fully prepared to receive passengers and goods with complete ease.
