LRC announces the cessation of clashes in Zawiya city.

Al-Zawiya, May 18, 2024 (LANA) - The Libyan Red Crescent, Al-Zawiya-branch, announced the cessation of armed clashes in the city of Al-Zawiya this Saturday evening after the conflict was resolved.
The Red Crescent reported on its Facebook page that these clashes left one dead and 11 wounded. Adding that, the number of families evacuated by the emergency team in Al-Zawiya branch and also in Abu-Sorra branch reached 20 families.
Head of the Zawiya Notables, Muhammad Khamaj, announced earlier today, that efforts were being made by the city’s notables and elders to reach a truce between all parties, calling on the security authorities to carry out their responsibilities and support the efforts being made.
