Tripoli, May 19, 2024 (Lana) The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced that it is closely monitoring the intermittent clashes in Zawiya that erupted earlier yesterday, reportedly resulting in some casualties, including civilians.

"The Mission urges an immediate end to the hostilities, calling on authorities to ensure the protection and safety of civilians," UNSMIL stated in a tweet.
