Al-Dabaiba makes an inspection visit to the Civil Status Authority.

Tripoli, March 17, 2024 (LANA) - Today, Sunday, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, conducted an inspection visit to the Civil Status Authority, during which he met with the directors of the Authority’s branches in all regions and cities, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, and the official spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Mohamed Hamouda. .

The media office of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government stated that, at the beginning of his visit, “Al-Dabaiba” inspected the progress of work in the Authority’s Office, and was briefed on the progress of work within the departments and offices, and held a meeting with the directors of the Authority’s branches, departments, offices and divisions, to follow up on the steps taken within the Initiation Project to organize and match electronic data with records data. , which was launched by the Government of National Unity and the Office of the Public Prosecutor with the aim of revising, reviewing and verifying the data, and determining the measures taken regarding deaths and missing persons in Derna and neighboring areas.

The office added that "Al-Dabaiba" praised the efforts of the Public Prosecutor's Office and its contribution to implementing the Intilaqa project, and its assignment of working teams of prosecutors to work with the technical teams in the department, as it is a national project that concerns all components of the Libyan state.

Al-Dabaiba stressed the need to develop work within the department, fully automate it, link it with the branches, update data, and eliminate any forged data to reach a sound database.

The director of the department presented a visual presentation showing the work progress of the Inception Project, indicating its most important elements, which aims to review the data of about 1.9 million families, of which more than 1.7 million families have been completed. Work is continuing according to the approved timeline, under the supervision and follow-up of the Attorney General’s Office to ensure the accuracy of the data.

Al-Dabaiba stressed the necessity of completing this project and having a sound database that helps the state in all its entitlements, starting with the elections in all their aspects, in addition to the wife and children’s allowance, student allowance, duality matching, and others.

  The Director of the Authority’s branch in Derna presented the procedures taken by the Authority to account for deaths and missing persons in coordination with the Office of the Public Defender and cooperation with the Passports and Nationality Authority. He stressed the continuation of work to copy new documents, compensate for all lost items, and prepare the necessary statistics.

The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government issued instructions to the Administrative Centers Development Authority on the necessity of completing the branches of the authority within the project to establish 17 branches in addition to the main building.

The Director of the Authority presented a position in which he explained the signing of the minutes of resumption of work at the headquarters of the Authority’s branches in Misrata, Al-Zawiya, Nalut, Gharyan, Derna, and Al-Shati, and the continuation of work to implement the rest of the headquarters alongside the main administration.
