Al-Manfi receives the Turkish Foreign Minister.

Tripoli, February 7, 2024 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, received, today, Wednesday, at the Council’s headquarters, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, and his accompanying delegation.

The media office of the President of the Council stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed to Al-Manfi, at the beginning of the meeting, the greetings of the President of the Turkish Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, appreciating the depth of the bilateral relations that unite the two countries, stressing the continued support of the Presidential Council in all its steps to reach the electoral entitlement and in the national reconciliation file.

During the meeting, according to the office, the two sides touched on cooperation in all fields, especially activating Turkish Airlines flights with Libya and the partnership between Libya and Turkey in various economic fields, including the completion of suspended projects, noting that the Turkish Foreign Minister praised the positive stance of the President of the Presidential Council towards the aggression on Gaza.

In turn, Al-Manfi praised Turkey's pivotal role in supporting stability in Libya and supporting international efforts to hold elections as soon as possible.
