Tunisia reserves the Arab League Council decision regarding the continuing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

Tunisia, October 12, 2023 (LANA) - The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nabil Ammar, to submit a reservation on the decision issued by the meeting of the League of Arab States Council at the ministerial level in its extraordinary session held yesterday, Wednesday in the Egyptian capital Cairo,regarding the continuing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

    The Tunisian News Agency reported, quoting a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, “Tunisia, firm in its positions and adhering to the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on all of the land of Palestine, with its capital Al-Quds Al-Sharif, the first of the two qiblahs and the third of the Holy Mosques, has reservations in general and in detail regarding the decision issued by the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level.” Ministerial Council in its extraordinary session held yesterday, Wednesday.

    The statement stressed, "Palestine is not a file or a case in which there is a plaintiff or a defendant. Rather, it is the right of the Palestinian people that cannot be lapse by statute of limitations or annulled by the Zionist occupation through killing, displacement, cutting off the most basic necessities of life, such as water and medicine, food and electricity, and targeting the elderlies, innocent women and children, homes, and hospitals.

He added, "The truth, by the standards of the laws of earth and heaven, is clear, and all of humanity must triumph for the truth and recall the massacres to which our Arab people were subjected in Palestine, who are still offering legions of martyrs, thousands of wounded, bereaved, and orphans in order to regain their stolen right to their stolen land, all of Palestine."
