Al-Shahoubi discusses with the French ambassador the air embargo imposed on Libyan aircraft.

Tripoli, March 20, 2023 (LANA) - The Minister of Communications, "Mohammed Al-Shahoubi", discussed today, Monday, with the Ambassador of France to Libya, "Mustafa Maharaj", aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of communications and transportation, and ways to enhance them.

The two sides also discussed, during a meeting held in Tripoli, the air embargo imposed on Libyan aircraft, as the Civil Aviation Authority contracted with a consulting office to prepare a digital transformation project, which aims to develop the civil aviation sector in coordination with international aviation organizations, according to the Ministry of Communications.

The ministry stated that it is expected that there will be a visit by the audit team during the month of July to assess the current situation in the Civil Aviation Authority.

Al-Shahoubi welcomed the return of French companies to resume and activate their contracts concluded with the Ministry in the transportation sector.

For his part, the French ambassador affirmed his country's determination to strengthen bilateral relations in the interest of the two countries.
