Tripoli, March 14, 2023 (LANA) - A delegation from the House of Representatives participated today, Tuesday, in a capacity-building workshop on governance and management of labor migration for members of the African Parliament, on the sidelines of the meetings of the Standing Committees of the African Parliament held during the period between 06 and 17 March at the headquarters of the African Parliament. in Midrand, South Africa,
The House of Representatives stated on its Facebook page, that the workshop dealt with many topics, on top of which was the state of migration governance in Africa, the exchange of information about the migration situation by members of the African Parliament, international and regional immigration law, and its relationship to national laws, and how to enhance policy development to be more responsive to gender and more inclusive of points of citizens' view at the national and regional levels.
It is noteworthy, that the work of this workshop will continue for two consecutive days, starting from the 14th to the 15th of March, with the participation of members of the House of Representatives, members of the African Parliament, “Saleh Qelma, Salem Qinan, Abdelkader Yahya” and “Asmaa Al-Khawja.”
