Chadian newspaper highlights the visit of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity to N'Djamena.

N'Djamena, January 25, 2022 (LANA) - The Chadian newspaper Al-Khabar highlighted the visit of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity "Abdul Hamid Dabaiba" and his accompanying delegation today to Chad and his meeting with the head of the Transitional Military Council, Lieutenant-General "Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno", which came within the framework of strengthening and advancing relations.

The newspaper said in a report published on its website today that addressing organized crime and terrorism, securing borders and other common issues, is what called Libyan Prime Minister "Abdul Hamid Mohammed al-Dabaiba" to visit Chad.

The report indicated that the two sides held an extensive meeting in the presence of the delegations of the two countries, during which they discussed various political, security, economic, social and cultural files that link the two countries.

The head of the Transitional Military Council praised during his meeting with "Dabaiba" the Libyan-Chadian joint committee, expressing his country's readiness to participate in the talks in order to explore other options that take into account security necessities and are in line with the four-way agreement signed in May 2018 between Libya, Niger, Sudan and Chad regarding the supervision and security of the common borders.  For his part, "Dabaiba" expressed Libya's appreciation and pride for the sincere and effective efforts made by the Chadian leadership in various paths to resolving the Libyan crisis during the last period, which resulted in the convergence of views between Libyans and an end to the state of division between the Libyan brothers.

He also stressed that the Libyan government and people aspire to establish a comprehensive partnership with Chad in order to reproduce successful models of tolerance and reunification that were achieved under the leadership of the head of the Transitional Military Council, Lieutenant-General "Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno" and his strong will, especially with regard to restoring security and stability and launching the development and reform process, as well as on Chad's support for Libyan institutions in the fight against terrorism and extremist groups in order to establish peace and security in the region in general and in Libya in particular, according to what the newspaper published.

The Chadian newspaper Al-Khabar concluded its report by saying that the visit of the Prime Minister of Chad’s National Unity Government falls within the framework of Libya’s efforts and coordination with neighboring countries to defeat terrorism, secure borders and activate the quadripartite agreement aimed at reducing the risk of transnational organized crime, as well as strengthening relations of cooperation and friendship between the two brotherly countries.
