The Ministry of Labor and the Passports and Nationality Authority are discussing the file of organizing the labor market and the mechanisms for entering foreign workers.

Tripoli, January 05, 2022 (LANA) - Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation "Ali Al-Abed" discussed with the head of the Passports and Nationality Department, Major General "Youssef Murad", the file of organizing the labor market and settling the conditions of foreign workers coming to the country.

The meeting, which was held at the office of the Ministry of Labor in Tripoli, also reviewed the mechanisms of joint work between the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation and the Passports and Nationality Authority to develop procedures for granting use permits, in accordance with the requirements of the public interest, and in line with the requirements of the labor market.

During the meeting, Al-Abed stressed the adoption of the "Wafed" platform and that it has been implemented since the beginning of this year, noting that this mechanism is the only mechanism for registering and entering foreign workers.

The latest new decisions that have been taken in this file were also reviewed, in addition to the electronic linkage process that took place recently with the Egyptian side.

The two sides stressed the need to continue cooperation between the ministry and the department for the benefit of the country.
