Follow up on the implementation of documentary credits according to the outcomes of the public tender.

Tripoli, April 2, 2024 (LANA) - A meeting was held today, Tuesday, in the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Government of National Unity to follow up on the opening of documentary credits according to the results of the 2019 public tender, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the Chairman of the Medical Supply Authority Management Committee, the Chairman of the Public Tender Committee, and the Director of the Bank Governor’s Office, The Central Bank of Libya, the Director of the Inspection and Follow-up Department in the Council of Ministers, and a number of department directors in the relevant authorities.

According to the “Our Government” platform, the participants in the meeting agreed on the necessity of working in an organized manner to complete the implementation of documentary credits in accordance with the outcomes of the public tender and for the benefit of manufacturing companies, and to address all unexecuted transactions referred to the Central Bank of Libya by providing the documentary deficiencies required for implementation, and the necessity of holding periodic meetings to follow up the progress of public tender work, and ensuring its implementation in accordance with approved standards.

The Chairman of the Public Bid Committee confirmed that all state agencies pay great attention to the results of the public bid and contribute to its implementation in a legal and transparent manner.
