Zwara, March 30, 2024  (LANA) - The meeting between the two representatives of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Koni, yesterday, Friday evening, with the notables of the city of Zwara and its civilian and military components, focused on the role and position of the Presidential Council in containing the situation at Ras-Jdeer boarder crossing.

  The Presidential Council's media office reported that Zwara notables praised the Council's position in assigning the Chief of Staff and its affiliated units to establish security at the crossing.

According to the office, the notables confirmed during the meeting - which was held in the city’s hospitality hall, in the presence of the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Haddad, his advisor for security and border affairs, and the mayors of the municipalities of Kabaw, Jado, Wazen, Al-Qalaa, Nalot, and Yefren - that the city is with the construction of state-institutions and law, to achieve complete stability.

In turn - according to the same source - the two representatives, in their speech to the audience, praised the members of the Libyan army, for responding to the nation’s call to secure the crossing, and the wise men and notables of the city of Zwara in their cooperation with the Chief of Staff by assigning a group of operations to extend security and support the security services, in preparation for the resumption of work in the coming days.

Al-Koni and Al-Lafi confirmed that the Presidential Council is keen to achieve stability and prevent war between Libyans, under any circumstances, in order to build Libya and develop it into one unit.
