Tripoli, April 30, 2024 (LANA) - The two representatives of the Presidential Council, “Musa Al-Koni” and “Abdullah Al-Lafi,” received today, Tuesday, the resigned Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Libya, “Abdullah Batili,” who came to bid farewell to the two representatives before the end of his duties as the United Nations envoy in Libya.

  The Media and Communication Office of the Presidential Council stated that Batili appreciated the cooperation and response of the Presidential Council throughout its term, and the Presidential Council’s keenness to achieve stability and reach elections. He also expressed his confidence in the ability of the Libyans to overcome their differences and bring their homeland to peace and stability.

The two representatives praised the efforts made by Abdullah Batili to bring viewpoints closer between the political parties and communicate with countries interested in the Libyan issue to achieve stability in order to reach the elections, wishing him success in his work in his upcoming duties.
