Tripoli, March 20, 2024 (LANA) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya welcomed the results of the Bar Association elections held on the fifth of this March at the level of ten sub-unions and the General Union in Tripoli.

        The mission said in a publication today, Wednesday, that these elections demonstrated the strength of the union as an independent and unified entity, and the strong determination of lawyers in Libya to advance their profession.

      It emphasized its position in support of the independence of the union as one of the leading civil society institutions, expressing its readiness to continue its cooperation with the union in order to support the profession and raise the capabilities of Libyan male and female lawyers.
