Tripoli, March 19, 2024 (LANA) The High Council of State announced the arrest of a security entity in the city of Derna, which Council member “Safwan Muhammad Al-Masouri” did not mention, holding that entity responsible for his personal safety.
The Council said in a statement published today, Tuesday, on its Facebook page, “This incident came at a time when the Council is working to overcome the state of political division, ward off its disastrous consequences for the nation and the citizen, and create conditions for rapprochement with its partner in the political process, the House of Representatives, in the hope of reaching a solution, It ends the existing political crisis in our country and limits its repercussions.
The Council added, “That party ignored all these efforts and its legislative immunity derived from the laws in force in the state.”
The Council concluded its statement by saying, “While the Supreme Council of State denounces this arrest incident and condemns those responsible for it, it calls for the immediate release of Al-Masouri.”
