Yemen welcomes the results of the Cairo meeting

Aden, March 12, 2024 (LANA) - Yemen welcomed the results of the meeting hosted by the Arab League on Sunday, which included the President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi,” the Speaker of the House of Representatives, “Aguila Saleh,” and the Head of the High Council of State, “Mohamed Takala,” to support the political process in Libya.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, in a statement published by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the results of the meeting are an important step towards achieving the security and stability that the Libyan people seek. In this regard, it called on the international community to support the efforts made to complete the political process in a way that contributes to the launch of a new phase of peace, construction and development.

The Ministry renewed the firm position of the Republic of Yemen in supporting everything that would establish peace and prosperity and preserve the unity of Libyan territory.
