The House of Representatives and the Libyan Center for Future Studies organize a dialogue symposium in Tripoli.

Tripoli, March 6, 2024 (LANA) - The committee studying the draft law to establish a national authority for emergencies, crises and disasters assigned by the House of Representatives and headed by Council member “Abdulsalam Nasya” organized a dialogue symposium in cooperation with the Libyan Center for Future Studies in the capital, Tripoli.

According to House of Representatives spokesman Abdullah Belhaq, the symposium was attended by members of the House of Representatives, “Abdel Moneim Balkour, Muhammad Ahneesh, and Souad Al-Shali,” in addition to a number of specialists and those interested in this field.

In his speech, Nasya stressed the importance of the project to create the authority, noting the House of Representatives’ keenness on the participation of all specialists and those interested in this subject so that the project is built on sound and scientific foundations. He presented the draft law to the audience, providing a comprehensive explanation of the articles of the law.

In turn, the Center's Director General, Hamza Mosaddeq, explained during his speech the Center's role in providing technical and legal studies for the project.

  The symposium witnessed the presentation of research papers by experts and specialists that included the technical and legal aspects of the project. The participants agreed to hold a second dialogue symposium in the city of Benghazi.
