Canada's Ambassador to Libya renews her country's support for efforts to achieve free and credible elections in the country.

Tripoli, March 3, 2024 (LANA) - Canada's Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, renewed her country's support for the efforts of the High Electoral Commission to achieve free and credible elections, appreciating the efforts made to implement electoral processes in accordance with internationally recognized standards and principles.
This came during her meeting with the Chairman of the High Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, at the Commission’s Council office, according to what was published by the Commission’s official page on its Facebook account.
The meeting, which was attended by Commission Board Member Rabab Halab, discussed ways for the international community to support the elections in Libya, and was informed of the readiness of the Commission and the extent of its readiness to implement municipal council elections, and discussed what support and expertise could be provided in the field of managing and implementing elections.
