A Libyan-Algerian-Tunisian agreement held a tripartite meeting at the presidents’ level every three months.

Algeria, March 3, 2024 (LANA) - The countries of Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya agreed today, Sunday, to hold a tripartite meeting at the presidential level every three months, to coordinate partnership and cooperation efforts between the three countries.

This came during a meeting between Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, his Tunisian counterpart, Kais Saied, and the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi, in which they reviewed the outcomes of the seventh summit of heads of state and government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, which was held in Algeria, according to a statement published by the Presidency of the Republic of Algeria.

The meeting discussed the prevailing conditions in the Maghreb region and stressed the need to intensify and unify efforts to confront economic and security challenges, in a way that will benefit the peoples of the three countries positively.

According to the statement, it was decided to hold a tripartite Maghreb meeting every three months, the first of which will be in Tunisia after the holy month of Ramadan, next June.
