American military attaché and members of the attaché visit a number of military units in Misrata and Al-Khoms.

Tripoli, April 04, 2024 (LANA) - The United States Military Attaché to Libya and members of the attaché visited a number of military units in Misrata and Al-Khoms.

The media office of the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army said that the visit came after obtaining permission from the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad.

The American military attaché and his accompanying delegation met with the Commander of the 53rd Independent Infantry Brigade, Major General Ahmed Hashem, in the city of Misrata and the head of the Coast Guard and Port Security Service, Major General Reda Issa, at the Service’s headquarters in the city of Al-Khoms.

  These visits come to enhance support in various fields of training for members of the military institution, including officers and non-commissioned officers, as well as the possibility of the Libyan army participating in the annual African Lion maneuvers and exercises.
