Cairo, January 4, 2022 (LANA) - The Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the State of Libya in Cairo, "Mohamed Abdelali Mesbah" discussed the difficulties and obstacles facing Libyan patients in Egyptian hospitals.

This came during a meeting at the embassy headquarters today, Tuesday, with a number of patients and their companions, in the presence of the embassy's financial controller.

The Chargé d’Affairs expressed his understanding of the extent of the suffering incurred by patients, noting that the embassy is facing some financial difficulties and that the financial deposits of the patients' file has not been transferred so far.

He added that this delay put patients in trouble in terms of their inability to pay in light of the inability of Egyptian clinics and hospitals to wait.

The Chargé d’Affairs pointed out that the embassy does not have solutions, and despite that, it is doing its best with the competent authorities in the Government of National Unity and the Ministry of Health to resolve this crisis.

For their part, the patients demanded that sufficient funds be provided for the treatment of all patients, and that this is not limited to one group without another, stressing that they will not allow the payment of treatment bills to one group without another, regardless of the reasons.
