Tripoli, May 6, 2024 (LANA) - The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, received on Monday the Swiss Ambassador to Libya, Joseph Philippe, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed, according to the Commission, the latest developments in the electoral processes, and the Commission’s preparations to implement the process of electing municipal councils scheduled for this year, and discussed what support and expertise could be provided in the field of managing and implementing elections.

The Swiss Ambassador expressed his government's appreciation for the Commission's efforts aimed at holding the elections in accordance with the highest standards in force in the world, reiterating its readiness to provide technical and advisory support, which enhances the Commission's readiness to implement the expected entitlements.
