Tripoli, May 5, 2024 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, “Abdulhamid Al-Dabaiba,” followed up this evening, Sunday, on the measures taken to reopen the Ras Jedir crossing during his meeting with the Minister of Interior-designate, “Imad Trabelsi.”

During the meeting, Al-Trabelsi presented a position on the steps taken by the Ministry of Interior in preparing the necessary plan to secure the crossing and operate it in accordance with the necessary security procedures, pointing to the work being implemented by the Administrative Centers Development Authority regarding developing the main entrances, equipping the crossing with all its needs, and installing and operating five large scanners. .

Trabelsi briefed the Prime Minister on the results of his meeting with the Tunisian Minister of the Interior regarding organizing work between the authorities at the crossing in the two countries in order to facilitate the transit movement for citizens.

Al-Dabaiba stressed the necessity of preparing and developing the crossing in a way that contributes to the comfort of travelers and providing them with appropriate conditions, and positive coordination with the Tunisian Ministry of Interior in all the necessary arrangements for its opening.
