Air traffic at Sabha International Airport resumes after stopping for several years.

Sabha, May 4, 2024 AD (WALA) - Air traffic resumed at Sabha International Airport with the arrival of a Libyan Airlines plane after traffic at the airport stopped for several years.

The Libyan News Agency correspondent in Sabha stated that the resumption process at the airport took place yesterday, Friday, and came as a result of the efforts made by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Libyan government appointed by Parliament, “Salem Al-Zadma,” in cooperation with the airport administration to rehabilitate and operate it, to provide its services to the citizens of the municipality of Sabha and the surrounding municipalities.

The director of the Libyan Airlines Company in Sabha, Saleh Al-Majri, announced in a press statement to LANA, that the company will begin operating its domestic flights from Sabha Airport to Tripoli and Benghazi airports, with two flights per week.
