Tripoli, March 7, 2024 (LANA) - The President of the High Council of State, “Mohamed Takala,” met on Wednesday evening, accompanied by his second deputy, “Omar Al-Obaidi,” the American ambassador and envoy to Libya, “Richard Norland,” and the embassy’s charge d’affaires, “Jeremy Brent,” and their accompanying delegation, at the Council’s headquarters.
The media office of the High Council of State said on its Facebook page that the meeting, which was also attended by the rapporteur of the High Council of State and the head of the Council’s Political Affairs Committee, discussed aspects of the Libyan political crisis, the initiative of the UN envoy, and efforts aimed at supporting the democratic path, stability, and the success of the electoral process.
