Tripoli, March 4, 2024 (LANA) - The Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya, Liu Jian, affirmed on Monday his country's government's support for efforts to complete the upcoming electoral elections in Libya.

During his meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the High Electoral Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, in the presence of Council Member Rabab Halab, Liu Jian praised the efforts made by the Commission to enhance its readiness for the elections.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed, according to the Commission, ways for the international community to support the democratic process in Libya, and to review the level of readiness of the Commission to implement the municipal council elections scheduled to be held this year.
